Synapse Design is hiring Physical Design Engineers for the Vietnam Design Center. The Vietnam center is working on implementing digital ASICs from RTL to GDSII for networking, mobile and consumer applications in technology nodes at 28nm and 14nm.
We are currently opening 8 position, 4 senior PD engineers and 4 junior PD engineers who experience using Cadence or Synopsys tools.
Experience on Top-level Floor-planning, Partitioning, Low power implementation required.
Engineers located in Vietnam will work directly with the US team with on-site opportunities in Europe, Asia and US.

Bachelors or Master's degree in Electrical-Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering
Experience using Synopsys ICC or Cadence SOC Encounter
Successful Tape-out experience of multiple complex chips (10M+ gates) at 28 nm or below
Expertise in Floor-planning, Physical Synthesis, CTS, Routing
Define the floorplan, including pin placement, power busing, placement of blocks and macros
Responsible for Place/route of complex SoCs in advanced process technologies
Design complex clocking structures
Execute place/route, signal integrity avoidance/fixing, power/clock analysis, timing closure, noise analysis and DRC/LVS
Hands on experience with STA using Primetime
Expertise in low power flow (Power gating, Multi-Vt, Voltage islands, Dynamic voltage scaling, Body biasing, etc)
Understanding of deep sub-micron design problems and solutions (leakage power, signal integrity, DFM etc.)
Scripting experience in Tcl, Perl or C, C++
Having good computer skill, presentation skill
Strong verbal and written communication skills and English skills
Having independent & positive, team work spirit.
